While downloading and installing, be sure that your antivirus software is turned off, otherwise there is a high probability of a corrupt installation.

In that case, the only solution may be to delete the add-ons.cfg file and let Prepar3D create it again. If you are missing add-ons after doing this, you probably have to reinstall them.

The encoding of the file can be changed with Notepad++ and it should be UCS-2 LE BOM, which is what P3D installs it in. If changing the encoding doesn’t work, the only solution may be to delete the add-ons.cfg file and let Prepar3D create it again. If you are missing add-ons after doing this, you probably have to reinstall them.
