PC-12 Legacy – Known Issues

The PC-12 EFIS may show different annunciations when using the Working Title GNS vs the GTNs. #

As each GPS unit has its own autopilot logic, there are cases where the autopilot criteria used in the EFIS will not match in all three cases. This is an issue we are looking into with the developers of the GTN packages.

GTN add-on is not showing in the cockpit. #

Check that a folder named z-sws-aircraft-pc12-pmsgtn/tdsgtn exists, in the installation folder. If not, look for the “Free Extras” tab on the product page and download the “Free Panel Mods” file, the installation instructions are inside the file.

The reds flicker when parked/the plane will weathervane left on a right crosswind/similar weird issues. #

We discovered that FSRealistic will interfere with the flight model by forcing accelerations on the aircraft. This leads to unnatural handling, and we recommend that it is turned off as of PC-12 v.1.0.1.

Gust lock and other click spots disappear #

We were able to reproduce the problem and a workaround. The issue happens when the plane is viewed from outside and far distances -external view or cinematic. MSFS switches it to a lower Level Of Detail (LOD) that doesn’t need the clickspots. When you get back to cockpit view, MSFS fails to restore the high detail LOD with the clickspots. It also makes the GPS disappear sometimes. A workaround is to zoom in close from external view and then switch to cockpit. We will attempt a fix to make it less frequent with this update, but we must report it to Asobo so they can also investigate the issue as it has to do with how the game engine works.

Recognition lights in PULSE mode will work, but the halo remains bright (v1.0.1).

That is a limitation of the graphics engine, which fails to dim the bright halo fast enough to catch up. A full reprogramming of the light is needed to fix it.

The PC-12 will overshoot and correct when autopilot is in NAV mode. #

Under investigation.

The aircraft yaws with power changes. #

This is correct. Adding power will yaw left, removing will yaw right.

The aircraft does not fly coordinated in turns. #

The PC-12 requires a lot of pedal input without the yaw damper in reality, so it should be turned on as soon as the gear comes up and turned off for landing.

Yellow warning saying “Pusher” on CAWS.
#

To delete the warning, the user must perform the pusher test, the details, and
procedure of which are described in the manual.

The warning stall test can be performed in the air or on the ground.
