Nimitz Class Series Release!
It is with great pride that we announce the release of the first package of our Nimitz class series!
The culmination of two years of R&D, the SWS Nimitz is the most complete, detailed and accurate carrier simulation to date. Spearheaded by Carriers Extended v2.0, this feature-packed rendition features:
- CVN-68 USS Nimitz and her air wing as they were in 2017
- CVN-69 USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and her air wing as they were in 2016
- Fully dynamic deck: Get in the handler’s seat and use our deck gauge to create any deck state you desire in an unseen-before feature! Pack the aircraft into the hangar, clear the landing area for approach or just use our preset states!
- AI helicopter guard: the first real carrier-borne AI for P3D is here! Watch the AI MH-60 launch, form up and recover on the carrier’s helipads and get an idea of what the future of P3D holds!
- Weather-based ship motion: feel the waves as they pitch and heave the ship! Based on declassified US Navy data, our flotation model uses the weather and the ship’s geometry to simulate a moving deck
- Realistic landing and navigational aids: from the IFLOLS to the LRLS, from TACAN to Autoland, our carriers bear accurately simulated aids from their real-life counterparts!
- Added bonus: Shore-based IFLOLS! 19 Navy & Marine airbases with land-based OLS to safely practice carrier landings!
